Who We Are

The Black Hills Area Chapter of the American Red Cross Serves 19 Counties in Western South Dakota covering an area of almost 38,000 square miles.

We serve 4 of the top 10 lowest income per capita counties in the nation.

We cover rough, remote terrrain to help get our community through disasters.

77% of families served had a combined income of $15,000 or less and 76% of those did not have insurance to replace their home or contents.
